What struck me most during my January stay was the snowy scenery, which felt like stepping into a frozen painting—utterly photogenic, especially during sunrises and sunsets that lasted one to one and a half hours, painting the sky in a kaleidoscope of oranges, pinks, and blues. My days were spent sledging, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing across expansive landscapes, but nothing beat soaking in the steamy Chena Hot Springs after a day in the subzero cold—truly my favorite way to warm up in the Arctic air.
